VIETNAM COCONUT ASSOCIATION WORKS WITH THE US EMBASSY.

During the working program, the US agricultural attaché discussed ways to bring information about the Vietnamese coconut industry to information channels to serve the commercial needs of the US market. In addition, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) annually conducts reports on oilseeds and related products, and at the same time wishes to cooperate in promoting the trade of fresh coconuts and coconut products from Vietnam to the US market more.

Mr. Cao Ba Dang Khoa - General Secretary of the Association and members received the delegation, informed the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the US agricultural attaché about the Vietnamese coconut industry. VCA representatives also forecasted the growth of the Vietnamese coconut industry in the near future and the Association's goal of supporting the business community so that the US Embassy attachés have more information to prepare effective coordination plans. The US Embassy attachés also proposed to cooperate with the Vietnam Coconut Association in providing information, organizing tours for the business community, participating in prestigious fairs in the US and coordinating to welcome US business delegations who will come to Vietnam for trade and investment cooperation in the near future. The first meeting between the US Embassy representatives at the office of the Vietnam Coconut Association was an effective contact since the US Customs issued a letter allowing the import of fresh, pre-processed coconuts from Vietnam, providing more information for the Vietnamese business community to participate in this demanding market.
